Today I shared a finished object and my “Make Nine 2022 MAL” plans! The make nine make along that I participate in is hosted by Amy Jenson of Noble Character Crafts. She is so wonderful, if haven’t watched her podcast yet you absolutely must.
Finished Object:
My finished object was a bit of a milestone for me- the first thing finished after my little break from knitting. It was a self designed pattern, guided by the incredibly book “Knitted Tams” by Mary Rowe. I really enjoyed all that I learned from her, both about practical Tam design and the tradition behind knitted tams. I knit this hat using November Woods Fiber Co. Yarns which was generously gifted to me by Alexandra in a yarn swap we did last year. I used her Lighthouse Mini Skein Set (limited edition, but she still has some left in her shop!!) and her Foxprints colorway on another base which is unfortunately discontinued. The Foxprints colorway is still available sometimes though.
Make Nine Projects:
- The Ballerina Wrap Top by Alexandra Tavel
- 12″ Baby Doll Dress by Linmary Knits
- Teddy Pants or Ellen’s Coming Home Set by PetitKnits
- Raspberry Headband by Hanna Lübben of Herbgarden Knitwear
- Socks for my Father in Law
- Gift Socks
- Socks for my husband, Nik
- Wedding Gift Sweater for my Sister (maybe Lopi? Maybe self-designed?)
- Anne of Cleves by Jade Starmore (This is a WIP and I forgot to mention this in the video!)
I hope you’ll follow along on my journey! Let me know if you have a make nine.
