Dried citrus can be used for all sorts of things. Decor, crafting, food presentation, even snacking! It is so easy, and adds such a luxurious natural touch to all sorts of displays.
Materials Needed:
Citrus of almost any kind- Oranges, clementines, lemons, limes, grapefruit, etc. They will shrink once dried, so take that into consideration when deciding how much you need.
Wax Paper
Method:
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit/90 degrees Celsius.
Slice the citrus. I like to slice them about a half an inch thick, but you can experiment. If they are too thin they will bend, if they are too thick they will take forever to dry and may dry more uneven.
Lay the wax paper on a baking sheet/pan and lay your sliced citrus out on the wax paper in a single layer. Make sure there is a bit of space between each slice so that it can dehydrate and dry evenly.
Put the citrus in the oven for 3-4 hours, taking out and flipping the slices about once every hour. In the 3rd hour or so keep an eye on the citrus so that it doesn’t brown too much.
Let them cool once finished and then use to your hearts content!
