Show Notes: Resisting Impulse Cast-Ons

Episode 51 can be found here.

The last couple of weeks have been full of summer joy. We have savoured a very mild summer here in Germany and spent lots of times outdoor on mild sunny days, and done plenty of arts and crafting on rainy days. I am still flowing in lovely current of knitting mojo, and am itching to cast on a new project (linked below). I have resisted though in order to enjoy my current main sweater project and complete it. Working on just one task at a time has been a sort of meditation for me this year, and applying it to my knitting has been wonderful. I may be becoming an (almost) monogamous knitter.

Knitted Works in Progress

My main project at the moment is a lovely yoked sweater- the Rug by Junko Okamoto. This unique and cozy pattern is available for free on Ravelry. I am knitting it up in Jamieson and Smith Chunky in the colorways Fuchsia and Lupin. I’ve separated for the selves and am knitting the body!

I am also working on a pair of simple vanilla socks in some mystery stash yarn for my father in law. I cast these on *years* ago and after a terrible case of second sock syndrome, I am glad to have picked them up and be working on them again! I’ve just started the heel. Here to hoping they are finished by his birthday in September!

Other Mentions and Links

The pattern I am looking forward to knitting next (and spoke about in this episode) is the Folklore Ruffle Top by Fabel Knitwear.
