Knitting Finished Object:
Mini Chunky Yoked Sweater Dress. With the intention of knitting up all of the yarn I have, I’ve cast on another project using the Jamieson and Smith Chunky yarn in the colorway “Lupin” as the main color and “Fuchsia” as the contrast color. I decided to make it into a sweater dress and am so so glad I did. It’s just adorable and will be so practical and adorable through the winter!
Works in Progress:
Bifurca Vest. This beautiful pattern by Teti Lusak is the cast on I’ve been most excited about in a very long time! I am enjoying every stitch of this uniquely constructed vest. I’m knitting it up in very special November Woods Fiber Co. yarn. All naturally dyed by my friend Alexandra. I just finished the colorwork portion and am so very in love with how it’s working up!
Green socks: When I first heard about the Aktion Grüne Socke I knew that I wanted to participate. What a joy to knit a pair of cozy socks to share with a woman in the midst of chemotherapy. If you’re interested in knitting a pair yourself please do click here to find the address to which you can send a pair of green socks to be gifted to a woman with ovarian cancer!
Non-Knitting Finished Object:
My first self made project bag! Inspired by Bethany of Well Loved Knits and the quilted project bag she made and shared in a video a couple of months ago, I knew a bag of my own making was in my future. This week I jumped right in, making a quilt top out of scrap fabric from past projects and an old fleece baby blanket for the batting. I just adore the result!
To go along with my ‘cottage core’ project bag, I painted some fitting progress keepers/stitch markers that I made out of polymer clay a couple of years ago. They are so sweet and it feels like a real treat to have a kind of themed marker/bag set!
