I only had two knitting projects to share with you this week. I have been enjoying each stitch of these projects, and though my progress hasn’t been prolific- it has certainly been full of enjoyment. What I lacked in knitting to share, I made up for in my newly found infatuation with sewing!

Knitting Works in Progress:
My love of the moment is the socks I am knitting out of Paper Crane Yarns sock yarn in the Soleil colorway. This is a design all my own that has taken quite a bit of trial and error, but which is finally coming together! I have been affectionately calling these the “Moon River Socks”. Inspired by a golden harvest moon, and the song, knitting this lacy design carries me away…
I have also made progress on my project for the #welcoomespringknitalong hosted by Martina Elizabetta of We Grow Wild and the Wild Knitting Podcast. My first attempt at designing a garment for myself from scratch, I have come up with a romantic (also very summery) textured yoke top using Drops Bomull in the darkest brown colorway. The texture is inspired by butterflies fluttering through late summer brambles.
Knitting Plans
I shared the plans I have for my next cast on! I am planning on knitting the Ballerina Wrap Top by Two of Wands, which is available for free though the link on her blog, or for download on Ravelry. I am using some special yarn that my Grandmother gave to me from her stash. Knit Picks Wool of the Andies in the colorway “Victorian”.
Sewing
I have so enjoyed venturing into the world of sewing! I shared my first project- an oversized scrunchie, and the progress I have made on my first dress!
I made the srunchie by following this tutorial.
The dress is made out of a lovely terracotta/pumpkin muslin double gauze cotton fabric. The sewing pattern I am using is the Poppy Dress by Hubba Ding. It is wonderful for a beginner!
I hope you enjoyed this little crafting. As usual, I’d love to hear what you are knitting! Feel free to tag me on instagram, and message me. It is always lovely to chat!
