It took me a while to get this video uploaded (lots of technical difficulties) but I am so glad to finally share it with you. I had two finished objects to share this episode- one knitting and one sewing!
Fiber Crafts Shown
Knitting Works In Progress
I showed my progress on the Ballerina Wrap Top by Two of Wands, which is available for free though the link on her blog, or for download on Ravelry. I am using some special yarn that my Grandmother gave to me from her stash. Knit Picks Wool of the Andies in the colorway “Victorian” (which is unfortunately discontinued). I nearly have the body entirely finished! I’m working on the i-cord and trying to decide whether I will stick with the i-chord bind off or if I will knit another waistband to keep it from rolling upwards.
I also shared my Moon River Socks knit using Paper Crane Yarns sock yarn in the gorgeous Soleil colorway ! This hasn’t been a very sock-heavy season for me in my knitting life, but whenever I feel like knitting socks, this pattern calls to me thanks to the stunning yarn and soothing motif.
Last, I shared my newest cast on- the Marie Cardigan by Rosa Gröszer. I am knitting this in some very special November Woods Fiber Co. yarn- the Eucalyptus colorway in the Elm base, which is a lively, bouncy, cozy heavy DK non-superwash botanically dyed yarn.
Sewing
I shared my newest sewing project- the Bellbird Dress by Common Stitch Studios . I found some lovely cotton/linen fabric on super sale (75%+ off!?) and was able to get the fabric for this project for a real steal. The fabric isn’t my usual choice of color, but the lovely grain and light natural feel make up for that. I can’t wait to have the finished garment!
I hope you enjoyed this little crafting update. As usual, I’d love to hear what you are knitting and making! Feel free to tag me on instagram, and message me. It is always lovely to chat!
